Sheila's Best Oatmeal Muffins
    1 cup instant oatmeal
    1 cup milk
    1 egg
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 cup canola oil
Put batter in greased (I spray) muffin cups
sprinkle tops with (cinnamon and sugar mixture)
Bake 350 degrees (15-20 min.)
makes about 1 dozen
Sheila's Vanilla Sour Cream Cutout Cookies
    3/4 cup shortening
    1-1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs lightly beaten
    1 tbs. Vanilla extract
    4 cups flour
    1 - 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2/3 cup sour cream

Cream shortening & sugar until fluffy
Beat in eggs one at a time
Beat in vanilla
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon
stir into creamed butter mixture
Stir in sour cream, cover, chill 2-3 hours
Cut out cookies and place on greased cookie sheet
Bake in preheated 425degree 6-8 minutes
or until cookies are lightly browned
Sheila's Grape Nut Bread
    1 cup milk
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup grapenuts flakes
    1/2 teaspoon soda
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    soak grapenuts in milk for 15 minutes
    mix all together
    let stand in loaf pan 20 minutes
    Bake: 350 degreees for 50-60 minutes
    If using 2 small loaf pans then bak about 1/2 the time
Sheila's Chocolate Drop Cookies
    1 egg well beaten
    cream together: 1 cup brown sugar - 1 teaspoon vanilla - 1/2 cup butter
    sift together: 1 & 1/2 cups flour - 1/2 cup cocoa - 1 teaspoon soda
    combine all
    stir in: 1/2 cup buttermilk or milk
    Bake: 350 degrees for 10 minutes on upper shelf
    Icing:
    1/3 cup butter
    1 & 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
    2 tablespoons milk
    1/2 teaspoons vanilla
    1 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar
