 I keep some select music in a special drawer in my Alden Lee music cabinet and when I feel like taking a few hours to enjoy playing my violin, I use the music from this drawer.
I choose this music because it is the music I personally enjoy listen to and to play. Most of the selections are not long and can be played during a fun practice session.
It is very diversified. Some easy some difficult, but all within my ability. By having this selection ready and within reach I can at a moment's notice pick up little guarneri and enjoy violin music
Yes, I like to use stickers on my own music, for fun, and also I have the plastic protective sleeves available from Henle. They also fit other editions. I also use the plastic single sheets you can purchase at ..well, Wal-mart has them. They are sticky on one side and you can apply them yourself. I put them on the front and back of the Kreisler Collection volumes violin parts. The violin parts are only paper fronts and backs and after much use can become destroyed.
